Generally known by its Latin name, Cannabis sativa, cannabis has historically been thought of as consisting of at least two types of weed strains – indica and sativa – which are believed to differ in terms of places of origin, height, and leaf shape. Most strains today are hybrids, a genetic cross between indica and sativa plants. A high-CBD product, containing greater than four percent CBD by weight, may be either indicadominant, sativadominant, or a hybrid.
